The Creation of Hawaiʻi told in this beautifully illustrated childrenʻs book will capture the hearts and imaginations of young readers as wondrous creatures from the ocean and land emerge from the time of darkness until the birth of man heralds the period of light. The heart-wrenching story of Wākea and Hāohokakalani, ancestors to Hawaiians, becomes a lesson for the way that we must take care of the earth so that it continues to nourish us.
